What we expect

Your responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations across all lines of business: new installation, service, maintenance, repair, and modernization projects.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Coordinate resource allocation to meet fluctuating demand and operational goals
  • Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team, including supervisors and field technicians.
  • Foster a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Champion workplace safety and lead initiatives to minimize risks and incidents.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and implement training initiatives to enhance team capabilities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders across all lines of business.
  • Address and resolve customer concerns promptly, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and trust.
  • Monitor and manage budgets, financial reporting, and profitability for the Halifax branch.
  • Drive cost optimization strategies without compromising service quality.
  • Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare regular operational reports.
  • Ensure all operations comply with local regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute strategic goals for the Halifax market.
  • Identify opportunities for business growth and innovation across all lines of business.

Who we are looking for

Your qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of operational management experience, ideally in the elevator or construction industry.
  • Strong leadership and team-building abilities.
  • Financial expertise in budgeting, P&L management, and cost control.
  • Advanced project management skills and experience with relevant tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a customer- focused approach.
  • Knowledge of safety, compliance, and industry standards.
  • Experience in unionized environments and familiarity with Nova Scotia regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and operational systems (e.g., ERP, CRM, or project management tools).
